For words ‘you’ and ‘are’: Stem stitch the letters using 1 strand of white floss. For thicker strokes (e.g. downward strokes of letter ‘Y’ and ‘A’), switch to using 2 strands of white floss instead. Start stitching from the start of letters ‘Y’ and ‘A’, and work your way through the words. Make sure that all mid points come up on the same side (you can choose either top or bottom) of your previous stitch. To keep the lettering neat, make short stitches, especially while working around curves and turning corners.
For word ‘precious’: Stem stitch the letters using 4 strands of gold floss. For thicker strokes (e.g. downward strokes of letter ‘P’ and ‘C’), switch to using 8 strands of gold floss instead. Start stitching from the start of letter ‘P’ and work your way through the word. For the dot on top of letter ‘I’, French knot using 4 strands of gold floss.
To end off, run your needle underneath some of the stitches on the wrong side of your work. Trim off the ends of your threads. Display in the hoop or frame it.
